The Happy Pumpkin, Patch is a children's Thanksgiving harvest story about the gift of sharing. The poetic bedtime story is illustrated by the author, Carol Dabney. Set in the period times of the first pilgrims coming to America leading up to the first Thanksgiving day. It's about a young man who labors for the pumpkin seed, struggles with the weather, waters it ands delights in watching it grow. The beauty of sharing with others and in so doing fines a wonderful surprisingly happily ever after ending to this sweet children's story. Teachers and parents will enjoy reading as children learn about the every day life of pilgrims when they first came to America, and appreciate the importance of seeds, and even see how to plant and care for growing vegetation. Children will see the first pumpkin ever to be craved into a happy face, and made into a Jack-O-Lantern and why. There are even some pumpkin recipes to enjoy during Halloween and the Thanksgiving season. and a beautiful love song "My Heart Is Your Home" penned by the book author.
