Principal Aspects of the Book: ·         It presents the study of the variability of mango quality at the harvest stage, during post-harvest storage and due to cultivar difference.  ·         It presents the study of the potential of four different cameras (monochrome, color, ultra-violet and near-infra-red) in a computer vision system for quality evaluation of a mango.·         The development of an algorithm for the extraction of various morphological features of a mango fruit using each camera setup.·         The development of algorithms for the detection of the defects on the surface of a mango fruit using a monochrome and color (RGB) camera computer vision system. ·         The development of an algorithm for bruise detection just below the peel of a mango fruit using near infra-red camera-based computer vision system. ·         The investigation of various types of defects responsible for the loss of quality of a mango and its market value using UV camera-based computer vision system.·         Mathematical models were developed for predicting the mass and volume of the fruit using various morphological features, geometrical characteristics and derivative parameters as  the independent variables
