From the moment she came into the world, this little girl was at the mercy of her cruel and often merciless father, raping her from as early as she can remember then belting her into submission so she wouldn't tell her mother. This story is one a lot of women will identify with. Unfortunately, the ramifications of this upbringing set about a series of events that had her not trusting men, hence experiencing two failed marriages, which are covered in this book. Now, still on friendly terms with both ex-husbands, she candidly confides what led to the breakups, how she coped with the frustrations by singing and painting, and how she doesn't believe in holding grudges or playing the blame game. Of course, names have been changed to protect them, and she writes under a pseudonym. This book is written in a "go and grab a cup of coffee" style, conversational and very honest but with a sense of humor, indicative of the author's forgiving nature.
