Korky Paul, nacido como Hamish Vigne Christie Paul en Harare, Zimbabue, en 1951, es un reconocido ilustrador británico de literatura infantil. Estudió Bellas Artes en la Durban School of Art en Sudáfrica y animación en el California Institute of the Arts. Tras trabajar en publicidad en Ciudad del Cabo, Londres y Los Ángeles, se estableció en Oxford, Reino Unido. Su estilo distintivo, caracterizado por acuarelas vibrantes y trazos detallados, ha sido comparado con artistas como Ronald Searle y Ralph Steadman.

Es ampliamente conocido por ilustrar la serie Winnie the Witch (1987), escrita por Valerie Thomas, que ha vendido más de 7 millones de copias y ha sido traducida a más de 10 idiomas. Otras obras destacadas incluyen The Fish Who Could Wish (1991) y The Rascally Cake (1994). En 1988, recibió el Red House Children's Book Award por Winnie the Witch .
