Eric Carle (1929-2021) fue un reconocido autor e ilustrador de literatura infantil, célebre por su característico estilo de collage con colores vibrantes y texturas llamativas. Su obra más icónica es La oruga muy hambrienta (The Very Hungry Caterpillar, 1969), que ha vendido millones de copias en todo el mundo y se ha traducido a más de 70 idiomas. A lo largo de su carrera, Carle escribió e ilustró más de 70 libros, cautivando a generaciones de niños con historias sencillas y educativas.
