DAN FRENCH became a music fan in the early 1970s, and since going to his first concert
in 1972 has travelled around the UK, Europe, to the United States and once to Australia for
many more shows, over 800 so far. Those included many Bruce Springsteen concerts,
covered in a separate book, 'Grab Your Ticket And Your Suitcase' (Trethewey Press, 2025).

Through more than 300 pages of ticket stubs, other concert and musical images, memories
and many previously unpublished photos, this volume of 'Ticket Stub Stories' features over
300 shows from the 20th century. Dan recalls:

* His first ever concert at age 13: teen mania with T.Rex at Wembley in 1972
* 1970s shows by giants such as Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, and David Bowie
* A wealth of live music entertainment at Lancaster University in the late 1970s
by the likes of AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Van Morrison and many more
* Experiencing the forefront of the punk and new wave revolution with The Clash, The
Ramones, The Damned, The Jam, Blondie, The Buzzcocks, Talking Heads and others
* Catching early performances by musicians before they achieved major success:
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Dire Straits, Madness, U2, Simple Minds, and David Gray
