Camila Sosa Villada (La Falda, Córdoba, 28 de enero de 1982) es una escritora, actriz y dramaturga argentina, reconocida como una de las voces más originales de la literatura contemporánea y de la literatura LGBT+ en Latinoamérica. Prefiere identificarse como "travesti" en vez de "trans", reivindicando la historia y las luchas de esa identidad.

Estudió cuatro años de Comunicación Social y otros cuatro de Teatro en la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, mientras se enfrentaba a la exclusión social. En 2009, estrenó la obra "Carnes tolendas, retrato escénico de un travesti", que marcó el inicio de una trayectoria artística atravesada por la exploración de la identidad y la resistencia.

Como escritora, debutó con el poemario "La novia de Sandro" (2015), al que siguió el ensayo autobiográfico "El viaje inútil" (2018). Su consagración internacional llegó con la novela "Las malas" (2019), una obra valiente, lírica y profundamente conmovedora sobre un grupo de travestis que ejercen la prostitución callejera en Córdoba; el libro fue premiado con el Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, el Finestres de Narrativa y el Grand Prix de l’Héroïne Madame Figaro, y traducido a más de veinte idiomas.

Camila Sosa Villada ha sido nominada al premio Ariel como guionista, y su literatura se caracteriza por dar voz a los márgenes, la resistencia, la ternura y la crudeza de las experiencias travestis. Es una figura central en los movimientos culturales y los derechos trans en Argentina y toda Hispanoamérica, inspirando a nuevas generaciones de escritoras y artistas.
