This work was originally created (dictated) by an unschooled, unsophisticated, yet highly gifted nineteen-year-old. He produced important information on astronomy, geology, archaeology, theology, history and metaphysics. It is evident that no ordinary human mind was its author; that the young man "loaned" his mind to higher, universal forces to execute this achievement. At that early age, Andrew Jackson Davis was already an accomplished clairvoyant, practicing medical diagnosis in the city of New York.
