Reseña del libro "Shapes (en Inglés)"
Discover circles, squares, triangles and so much more with Ellie, a curious ginger kitten who loves to look, wonder and learn!Ellie Learns Shapes is an engaging early-learning picture book designed to introduce toddlers and preschoolers to familiar 2D and 3D shapes. Through colourful illustrations, simple language and recognisable everyday objects, young children learn to identify, name and compare the shapes they see around them.Children aged 1-5 will explore flat 2D shapes including circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, ovals, arches, stars, hearts, hexagons and octagons. They will also discover solid 3D shapes such as spheres, cones, cylinders, cubes, square-based pyramids and rectangular prisms. Each shape is paired with a familiar real-world example to make learning meaningful and memorable. A circle could be a pizza, a square could be an iced biscuit, a triangle could be a flag, a sphere could be a ball and a cone could be an ice cream. These clear picture associations help children understand that shapes are not only found in books - they are everywhere!Simple, predictable text encourages children to join in, repeat shape words and make their own connections. The book supports shape recognition, early maths vocabulary, visual discrimination, observation, spatial awareness and school-readiness skills. The learning continues at the back of the book with: Playful activity ideas that encourage children to search for, create, stamp and build with shapesAn engaging search-and-find shape activity filled with familiar 2D and 3D shapes to spot and nameA black-and-white shape colouring-in page that supports creativity and fine-motor developmentBeautifully illustrated in a gentle watercolor and coloured-pencil style, Ellie Learns Shapes offers a warm, calm and inviting introduction to early geometry.Perfect for reading aloud at home, in early-learning centres, preschools, classrooms or homeschool programs, this delightful shapes book helps toddlers and young children learn through reading, talking, searching and play.
