When a professional assassin targets Tulsa PI, Wyatt Scott, he's dragged back into a world of Cold War espionage he thought he left behind in Alaska. The murder of a Japanese diplomat pulls Scott into a tangled web connecting his wartime past to a deadly Soviet spy ring. Before he can locate the Russian spy, a local baseball star is brutally murdered, and the sheriff arrests his addled old pal, Bugler, for the crime. Scott must flush out the killer among the denizens of local baseball, while dodging bullets from the spy world.
