Puerto Rican Or Nuyorican: Is a true story ,about a boy that comes form Puerto Rico with his mother, during the forty's, a period that many Puerto Ricans migrated to the U.S.A. ,looking for better living condition. It describes the manner in which they were treaded by the Anglo-Saxon, as new comers to the country, although they were American citizens since 1917. The story is written in a very crud and plain language, with the intention of bringing out as much realism as possible, and facilitated the readers imagination to go into this child's world mentally,as he venture with the female gender, drugs , gangs and adults, the book also gives a descriptive account of his encounters ,during his puberty years as a Puerto Rican teen, growing up in Brooklyn. The prime objective of this book is to create awareness to parents with teen, sons and daughters, as to things teens will do when they are on there own. And to also understand that time spend with them is not wasted time. I would also like to remind the Puerto Rican community ,where ever they are, the difficulties their ancestors went through, to establish themselves in the U.S.A.
