Prophetic Visions in the Book of Daniel. The author presents an analysis of the symbols presented in the dream of Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel's vision of the four beasts emerging from the sea, and his vision of the Seventy Sevens and how it all played out in the history of the world. The prophecies in the Book of Daniel are clearly layered with, what might seem to us, strange and obscure symbols making no sense at all. Most people find it extremely difficult to see the connection between prophetic symbols, such as a ten-horned beast and the event or thing it represents or, the expression of time in phrases such as "a time, times and half a time" or that a certain event would occur after a certain number of days or years have expired. People sometimes, in their effort to find the perfect solution for each and every problem presented by a prophecy, forget what the real message of the prophet is. The author took care to present an interpretation that covered all aspects of the prophecies he analysed and, in doing so, he applied a balanced approach taking care not to lose sight of the actual message portrayed by the prophet.
