The year is 3193... ...and it has been over six hundred years since humans first traveled to the Omicron Quadrant. A lot has happened since their arrival. Alliances have been forged, wars have been waged. When Iris Porter first arrives in the quadrant and meets two bounty hunters - Captain Kansas Smith and Lieutenant Lewis Auznarr - nothing could have prepared her for what was in store. Kansas's people, the eldevians, have been fighting a war for over 400 years with no end in sight until a man appears, claiming to have the codes that could bring down the eldevian defense system and allow their enemies to invade. Kansas, Lewis, and Iris are then in a race against time to stop the codes from falling into the enemy's hands all the while being chased relentlessly by a notorious group of mercenaries, the Black Hawks. Even with an end now in sight for the war, there seems to be something else lurking on the horizon. Something far greater and far more dangerous than anyone could have ever imagined.
