My first trip to Bali was 14 years ago. Surrounded by its exquisite tropical nature and Balinese enchantment, my heart kept calling me back, so that after many trips, I now live here full time. My book introduces you to an authentic Balinese experience that goes undiscovered by most tourists and even long-term visitors. I have saturated myself (with the help of many friends) with the unique culture and customs of the Balinese people. My book shares the amazing nature that surrounds me, reveals the everyday laughter, creativity, and synchronicity that find me on a daily basis, and unravels the unexpected spirituality and personal growth I am blessed to experience. My desire is to translate these truly life enhancing events so you 'feel' each word as if you are here with me in Bali. The adventures we have turn us into something new. I've made a vow to grow by inviting wisdom into my life with a 'beginner's mind' and have found some truths must penetrate one's consciousness over time. I am both a woman and a child, a realization that makes me both proud and embarrassed. As Edith Ann expresses, "Growing up can take a lifetime." I look forward to sharing my world with you!
