Honey is the beekeeping product with the highest market demand, as it is used in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries, in addition to being easy to market (FREITAS, KHAN, and SILVA, 2004). In addition to climatic conditions, technology, equipment, and techniques contribute to honey productivity. Vilela (2002) states that following the recommended technology in production and marketing honey properly leads to greater profitability in the activity.
