Unlike traditional publications showcasing the most spectacular monuments of Delphi, this book aims to explore more exhaustively all the known elements of a specific area: the south-eastern side of the sanctuary of Apollo, from the main entrance to the Argive monuments. Through in-depth and innovative studies relating to architectural documentation and restitutions, the author sheds light on this historically rich but still less-known region and highlights new perspectives on the architecture, dating and original function of these monuments. This study is based on a judicious combination of ancient sources and the results of long years of excavations. It presents a variety of plausible solutions for the restitution of those buildings, despite the lack of definitive and unique evidence.
