Douglas Stuart (Glasgow, 1976) es un escritor y diseñador de moda escocés-estadounidense. Tras formarse en el Royal College of Art y desarrollar una carrera en Nueva York dentro de la industria de la moda, alcanzó reconocimiento literario con Shuggie Bain, novela que ganó el Premio Booker en 2020 y dos British Book Awards. Su segunda novela, Young Mungo, consolidó su prestigio al explorar nuevamente la clase trabajadora, la masculinidad y la identidad en Glasgow. Su obra se caracteriza por una prosa intensa y profundamente empática, centrada en personajes enfrentados a la pobreza, la familia y las normas sociales.
