Jonathan Swan es un periodista australiano especializado en política estadounidense, reconocido por sus entrevistas incisivas y su cobertura de la Casa Blanca y del gobierno federal. Nació el 7 de agosto de 1985 en Australia. Es hijo de Norman Swan, conocido comunicador sobre temas de salud, y desde joven mostró interés por el periodismo y los asuntos públicos.

Swan estudió en University of Sydney y comenzó su carrera como reportero político en Australia antes de trasladarse a Estados Unidos. Allí trabajó para The Hill y posteriormente para Axios, donde ganó notoriedad por sus exclusivas sobre la administración de Donald Trump. En 2020 alcanzó reconocimiento internacional tras una entrevista televisada con Trump, ampliamente comentada por la profundidad de sus preguntas y el rigor de su análisis.

En 2023 se incorporó a The New York Times como reportero político. A lo largo de su trayectoria ha recibido importantes premios periodísticos, entre ellos el Premio Pulitzer de Periodismo Nacional en 2022, compartido con otros periodistas por su cobertura del ataque al Capitolio de Estados Unidos.
