This book provides the Greek text of the Epistula canonica by Gregory of Nyssa. It is a critical edition based on the examination of ca. 150 manuscripts. The preface analyzes the transmission of the text in great detail. Gregory's canonical letter has been part of the canonical letters of the Fathers from the beginning of such collections. The example of a single letter within these collections gives an important insight into the nomocanon-tradition.Gregory's letter is of great interest. It is the only canonical writing presenting a theoretical basis for the canonical penalties determining the times of exclusion from the congregation's worship and the gradual return of the penitens to full communion.***Das Buch enthält den griechischen Text der Epistula canonica Gregors von Nyssa. Die kritische Edition gründet sich auf ca. 150 Handschriften. In der Praefatio wird die Textüberlieferung detailliert analysiert. Gregors kanonischer Brief war von Anfang an in die Sammlung der kanonischen Väterbriefe einbezogen. Anhand eines einzigen Briefes ergeben sich bedeutsame Einsichten in die Überlieferung des "Nomokanons".Gregors Brief ist hochinteressant. Er ist die einzige kanonische Schrift, die eine theoretische Basis für die Bu stufen ausarbeitet. Bu strafen sind Zeiten des Ausschlusses aus dem Gemeindegottesdienst und die stufenweise Reintegration der Bü er zu voller Gemeinschaft.
