Reseña del libro "El Discurso Andino en "Los Rios Profundos""
The book The Andean discourse in The Deep Rivers is an analysis of the Deep Rivers, the novel of Jose Maria Arguedas, the Peruvian anthropologist and writer. In general, the artistic creations unveil the very conception of the writer's world. The worldview that José María Arguedas pours Deep Rivers, refers us to a worldview that is not the Western one. Arguedas, through his novel, reveals to us a different ideology, another discourse that is anchored in Andean culture. Arguedas brings us that worldview closer, to claim its validity, confirm its existence and survival. Morover Arguedas does it in the most subtle field of human spirit, art. Through Deep Rivers Arguedas expresses the Andean worldview, their values, their collectivist praxis, their morals and their ethics. In short, a worldview that is significantly contrary to the dominant worldview.
