Sticky trap efficiency may depend on where traps are placed in relation to crop phonology. Trap height also is important for mass trapping and monitoring insect population. Literature revealed importance of sticky material for the catching of adult sucking pests on Bt cotton. Colour sticky trap is a non poisonous, economic and ecofriendly tactic for the management of sucking pests. In organic farming yellow colour sticky traps can used effectively for monitoring and management of sucking pest of Bt cotton. Colour sticky traps can form an important component of integrated pest management of sucking pest on Bt cotton. It can be used to detect the population built-up at as an early stage, thus, avoiding irrational pesticide usage, residual toxicity and environmental pollution. Potential of sticky traps can also be exploited under green house, polyhouse and in high-tech agriculture.
