In this edition the title in upright capitals apart from the italic lower-case "ouvrage p'eriodique"; the motto between thin rules under "Linguet" is in the centre of the titlepage, and volume numbers are between single rules; "A Londres" in imprint in upright capitals; the titlepage ornament is made up by "foilage" flowing at top horizontally and similar foilage flowing down on either side, and the centre line of this ornament from top to bottom consisting of four small asterisks or crosses. Vol. 1 is referred on the titlepage as "Tome premier" only; a variant may sometimes instead be found with the titlepage for part one: "Tome premier, no. I".Londres, 1777. 3v. ; 8°
