Original published in 1860s when wax flower modelling was very popular in Europe, this classic handbook to wax-flower making has proven invaluable to the beginner. Many hints will also be found worthy the attention of the more experienced artiste. Flowers are the fairest objects of creation, and this would be a wilderness world indeed without them: they form the theme of the port's sweetest strains, and on the theme of the poet's sweetest strains, and on them painters have lavished all their skill. In many countries they are regarded with superstitious reverence. The art of modelling in wax is both an amusing and useful occupation. Many persons, however, think it very difficult to attain, wich is not the case, and therefore do not direct their attention to it.
