A brilliant musical offering to a respected musical patron, and though often dubbed the Swedish Mozart. the style recalls the great keyboard sonatas of C. P. E Bach. The E maj. Sonata is a work of extraordinary length and brilliance and is a fine example of the composer in his prime. --- Die Sonate in Es Dur ist eine von zwei Sonaten, die Kraus gegen Ende seines Lebens komponierte und König Gustav lI. von Schweden widmete. Eine brillante musikalische Darbietung für einen von ihm hoch geachteten musikalischen Gönner. Obwohl Kraus oft als schwedischer Mozart betitelt wurde, erinnert sein Stil hier an die gro en Klaviersonaten von C. P. E. Bach. Die Sonate in Es-Dur ist ein Werk von au ergewöhnlicher Länge und Brillanz und ein schönes Beispiel für einen Komponisten auf dem Hohepunkt seiner Laufbahn.
