Jerry Bridges is one of my most important mentors for walking on the Narrow Path that leads to life. His books need to be in the hands of every believer in Jesus Christ, and appeal to everyone because Bridges has a teaching gift, and his work is packed with sound Bible truth. This book will be a much appreciated resource that will be read during times of trial, waiting on God, heartache, grief, loss, having unanswered questions, having decisions to make, and wanting to draw closer to the Lord God. Bridges sets out for the reader the character of God, as shown in the Bible. He explains His sovereignty, His goodness, His wisdom, His wisdom and His faithfulness and how this underpins our trust in Him. We can persevere in prayer and in faith, and have His peace while the Lord God is at work on our behalf.
