Amidst his own story, Delloue delves into the tragedies of the USS Fitzgerald and USS John S. McCain in 2017, two collisions in which seventeen sailors lost their lives. He explains how his experience, and the Surface Navy's broken culture, paralleled and directly foretold these events.
