If you ever saw the movie One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest with Jack Nicholson, this author lived that nightmare. His Story directly documented by the medical manuscripts from Michigan's Coldwater State Home & Training School, will open your eyes to the abuse, neglect and downright ignorance of a mental institution that caged and incarcerated this three-pound baby boy amidst the horrors of institutionalized slavery in the 1950's and 1960's. Still this young man refused to be labeled and went on to achieve a Bachelor's Degree from Western Michigan University and a Master's Degree from Spring Arbor University. All along he was determined to expose this medical horror and achieve his freedom from the depths of hopelessness. Ultimately the author was able to lead a successful life even after emerging from sewers of filth!
