MacKnight and Dr. Henry Madden's book "On The True Principles of Breeding" is a short guide to the subject of breeding animals of various types to perfection. Published in 1865 by the early Angora Goat breeder, Thomas Black, of Australia, this short guide was derived between a series of letters between the authors on the subject of inbreeding animals of various types for the purposes of breed improvement. The text is split into two sections: The Practice of Inbreeding and On Inbreeding Viewed Physiologically. This will be found to be a valuable resource to breeders of all types of domestic animals who are looking to greatly improve their stock. Note: This edition is a perfect facsimile of the original edition and is not set in a modern typeface. As a result, some type characters and images might suffer from slight imperfections or minor shadows in the page background.
