When a neighborhood scientist thought of to be a mad scientist by his neighbors, wishes to show off his new machine to his young friends the kids come rushing over. To the young boys surprise the machine turns out to be a time machine that the scientist's daughter has already put to use. The group decides to take a trip in time for fun. They unfortunately pick the wrong time and the wrong place for when they go back to the mid-evil ages they find themselves in the path of a raging dragon. In their efforts to get away the machine is damaged and they are stuck till it can be fixed. In the mean time they befriend an invisible boy who explains what's going on and asks if they can help. Knowing the danger that lurks as long as they're there, the group decides to help and find themselves at war with a powerful witch who has taken over the kingdom and imprisoned an entire castle.
