It is also, next to the swimming chapter, the longest and most detailed chapter, hence published as a standalone. While many methods of fighting have sprouted in the last century, Hébert's work is very thorough, complete and provides the minimum effective dose of knowledge everyone should acquire to be proficient and useful to protect oneself or others. The drills are well pictured and detailed and simply applicable and universal, likely borrowed from other martial arts training.
