Escritora estadounidense, Hannah Whitten nació en Alabama, aunque creció en Tennessee. Reside en una antigua granja en Tennessee junto a su familia.

Whitten fue una ávida lectora desde bien niña, afición que poco a poco fue inclinándose también hacia la escritura. A los 18 años comenzó a estudiar enfermería, pero pronto se dio cuenta de que ese no era el camino que quería seguir y se decantó por volcarse en su sueño de ser escritora.

De su producción, orientada al público de jóvenes adultos, se ha traducido al castellano El Rey de la Dedalera, la primera entrega de la saga de fantasía El Reino de la Belladonna.
