Søren Sveistrup es el internacionalmente reconocido guionista, creador y productor de varias series de televisión.

Entre 2007 y 2012 Sveistrup fue el creador y escritor de la serie The Killing, galardonado con numerosos premios y vendida a más de cien países en todo el mundo, así como adaptado en su versión americana por AMC y Fox Television Studios. Ha escrito numerosos guiones cinematográficos, como The Day Will Come o bien la adaptación del famoso thriller de Jo Nesbø El muñeco de nieve.

Nacido en 1968, tiene un máster en Literatura e Historia en la Universidad de Copenhague y se graduó en guion audiovisual por la Escuela de Cine Danesa.
