It can be made by healthcare workers and then deployed to rural medical clinics and mobile treatment centers where needed. By distributing these practical, cost-effective systems around the world, the burden of disease due to infection can be reduced, saving many lives in the process. That is the goal.Making this goal a reality: By building and testing this system, you are independently confirming and correcting the design and the instructions in this book. If you have improvements, share them! Your participation will improve the design, which translates into better performance, higher ease of construction, lower cost, and greater awareness of the technology in the healthcare community. Ultimately all these improvements translate into more lives saved.
