Eiichiro Oda (Kumamoto, Japón, 1975) es el creador de One Piece, el manga más vendido de la historia. Inició su carrera ganando el Premio Tezuka en 1992 con Wanted, un oneshot que realizó en la escuela. En 1997 debutó profesionalmente con One Piece, serializado en la Weekly Shōnen Jump, rompiendo récords de ventas. Su éxito generó un anime (1999), películas y hasta un musical, donde conoció a su esposa, la exmodelo Chiaki Inaba, quien interpretó a Nami.
