Daniel Wallace es un escritor e ilustrador estadounidense nacido en Birmingham, Alabama, en 1959. Es reconocido por su novela "Big Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions" (1998), adaptada al cine por Tim Burton en 2003. Entre sus otras obras destacan "Ray in Reverse" (2000), "El rey de la sandía" (2003) y "Mr. Sebastian and the Negro Magician" (2007). Sus relatos y ensayos han sido publicados en diversas revistas y antologías, y sus novelas han sido traducidas a más de 18 idiomas.
