ENGLISH DESCRIPTION A story about love, jealousy, and betrayal during the construction of the Magdeburg Cathedral, one of the first Gothic temples of the Germanic Empire.   Year 1219: Moritz has found in sculpting a passion that allows him to forget that he lost his mother as a young child. With his grief and sadness, he creates a wonderful statue that catches Bohnsack’s eye, one of the builders of the Magdeburg Cathedral, who was passing through his city.   Together, they will travel to the city on the banks of the Elbe, where one of the most ambitious architectural projects of the century is underway: the construction of the Cathedral of Light, dedicated to Saints Mauricio and Catalina. To carve its statues, a renowned sculptor has arrived from Paris, and to whom Bohnsack wants to marry his daughter Helena. With Moritz’ arrival, the rivalry between the two artists, not only for their talent but also for the love of the beautiful Helena, will endanger their lives, the woman they love, and the future of the Cathedral of Light.
