Tsutomu Nihei es un destacado mangaka y arquitecto japonés, conocido principalmente por su estilo único que combina ciencia ficción, horror y elementos arquitectónicos en sus obras. Nació en 1971 en la prefectura de Niigata, Japón. Desde pequeño mostró un gran interés por el dibujo y la arquitectura, lo que más tarde influiría profundamente en su carrera artística.
