Oral implantology refers to the area of medicine which deals with the assessment of health and diseases of the supporting and investing structures of dental implants and natural teeth. It is also concerned with oral mucous membrane, along with the prevention and treatment of diseases. The major focus of oral implantology is not the surgical phase but the restorative phase. The success of dental surgical procedures depends on the health of the person receiving the treatment, health condition of the tissues in the mouth, and the drugs which affect the probability of osseointegration. The aim of this book is to present researches that have transformed the discipline of oral implantology and aided its advancement. Its extensive content provides the readers with a thorough understanding of the subject.
