A dizzying trip through the mind(s) of the provocative and influential thinker Nick Land. During the 1990s British philosopher Nick Land's unique work, variously described as "rabid nihilism," "mad black deleuzianism," and "cybergothic," developed perhaps the only rigorous and culturally-engaged escape route out of the malaise of "continental philosophy" -a route that was implacably blocked by the academy. Nick Land (UK, 1962) es una de las figuras más abrasivas, oscuras y geniales de nuestro tiempo. A mediados de los noventa creó el CCRU junto a Sadie Plant en la Universidad de Warwick, y desde entonces su leyenda ha ido en aumento. Sus trabajos de aquellos años son un género propio de filosofía experimental en la que se conjura una metafísica esquizofrénica, la tecnología invoca entidades insondables y la voz humana se desintegra en el trauma cósmico. Términos hoy populares como «hiperstición» y «teoría-ficción» provienen directamente de las prácticas de Land, y el aceleracionismo es otro de los fenómenos deudores de su pensamiento. Además de los trabajos recogidos en Fanged Noumena, los innumerables textos esparcidos en la web y las obras cacofónicas nacidas de su actividad con el CCRU, Land es autor de Sed de aniquilación (1992), y desde su actual retiro en Shanghái dirige los sellos editoriales Urbanatomy y Time Spiral Press.
