The chapters are divided into various diseases of the heart, organs, limbs and extremities, with several remedies described to be taken either orally or rubbed into the skin. Such 'drugless healing', claimed Dr. Jones, has already helped millions live healthy lives.In modern medical science, Eli G. Jones' remedies have been largely dismissed as ineffective and pseudoscientific. While the doctor claimed extraordinarily high success rates when treating serious illnesses such as cancer, subsequent study and research of his remedies failed to replicate such stellar results. Beginning in the early 20th century, the homeopathic means of treatment were likewise debunked as ineffectual. The value in this text is thus historical; a detailed catalog of what passed for responsible medical practice in the early 20th century.
