As a result, it has gained widespread support from diverse segments of the Iranian population. The Ten-Point Plan is built upon the principles of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law within a secular and democratic republic. The plan addresses the most fundamental historical rights, ideals, and pressing needs of the Iranian people in pursuit of a republic grounded in free and fair elections. The plan is rooted in the comprehensive program of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, which has been established and announced for four decades. The plan pledges to conduct a free election for the Constituent Assembly within six months following the regime's overthrow. The assembly will be tasked with drafting the constitution for the new republic.
