For thousands of years two questions have dominated the minds of great Eastern and Western philosophers, what is ultimate reality and what is the aim or meaning of life? This book picks up these two persistent questions and seeks to provide a new answer by integrating the works of 20th century philosopher Alfred Whitehead and the prominent Confucian scholar Mencius.
