This collection of 5 adventure stories, is drawn from a series of 47 Sam 'n Me adventures. The five adventures here, have to do with mystical powers Sam, and Gramps discovered when they returned to Camelot after Sir Thomas found the Book of Magic in Merlin's cavern. In the first four adventures, they discover super human powers. During the course of the adventures Big Mike, Marie, and John are also granted the powers and the five of them become the Merlins. The mystery surrounding why they are being given the powers deepens as the adventures progress. Merlin startles them with the revelation that the dark force has become aware of them. That leads them into greater challenges than they ever imagined possible. It pits them against the dark force warriors of Foul Manchu. Those warriors, with powers similar to theirs, are determined to take away all the good things they have been doing for those in need, strip them of their powers and subject them to excruciating eternal suffering. The final story in the pentalogy is about a dream world The Merlins are fearful will bring an end to the secret of their powers. The exciting aspect of this pentalogy is that it allows you to identify the sources of many events that take place in other adventures.
