This volume highlights the informative events of the Symposium on Molecular Immunology of Complex Carbohydrates II, held at the Institute of Biological Chemistry, Academia Sinica, on August 28-September 1, 1999, in Taipei, Taiwan. The Editor intertwined this conference, a satellite meeting of the 15th International Glycoconjugate Conference, with a Glycobiology Workshop, resulting in one of the most comprehensive handbooks on carbohydrate specificities of applied lectins and anti- carbohydrate monoclonal antibodies in the field.
