In volume 1 of The Illustrated Tales of Meldavia, Isnon, who is a Senior Lecturere in Meldavian Geneaology, spends the summer on top of Mt. Noich carrying on his research. While there he makes the acquaintance of a cliff raven who observes Isnon as he works on his project and reviews his life in Meldavia. Meldavia is a country in the southern hemisphere of Teronus.
