After visiting Hell, North's life will never be the same. In the Fall of 1957 and while on leave from the LaSalle Harbor PD awaiting trial on trumped-up charges, North must come face-to-face with the demons that haunt him. He also must solve a murder that has been dumped on his doorstep. Back home, his old partner, Barry Tiffin, is working to exonerate him and put an end to the corruption that caused his downfall. Finally, North must face his true feelings for the petite blonde whom he has tried to convince himself was not his type.
