Reseña del libro

The year is 2033. The world economy is headed for disaster as an international depression threatens to destroy financial markets around the globe. The United States has incurred so much debt, mostly owed to China, that it is unable to pay even the interest charges without further devaluing the dollar and falling deeper down into fiscal disaster. Two old friends and now world leaders, United States President James Gengia and China's President Chan Khan, implement a remedy for their countries which is inspired by the biblical law of "Jubilee". The law states that every 50 years all debts must be forgiven. The leaders announce that China has forgiven the $100 trillion debt owed to it by the United States. The life stories of the men who devise this plan reveal how, against all odds, they persevered and prevailed. Born across the world from each other, their lives were threatened from the start. Both were miraculously saved from extinction, one by fate and one by faith. Their brotherly bond became the basis for trust, cooperation and forgiveness between nations.
