Born in Baltimore in 1942, sculptor Jene Higstein lived between New York and London in the 60s. In New York's SoHo in the early 70s, he began a series of sculptural installations that used poor and elemental material such as industrial metal pipes. This volume reconstructs, documents and analyzes the Pipes series.
