Reseña del libro

India has become one of the world's deadliest countries for reporters. Assassinations include journalists who have spoken out against Hindu extremists; as well criticising Hindu nationalism and its leading exponent, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. Hate crimes against Muslims is another matter of grave concern in India; as well as gender inequality and sexual violence - the rape and murder of young girls shaming the nation. The ongoing Naxalite Maoist insurgency is another problem in India; also in view of the 2019 Gadchiroli Naxal Attack, where 16 policemen were killed, which is unacceptable and counterproductive - as the solutions to improve social equality can only be found in a political process; meaning through dialogue and peaceful political reforms. Hence this book endeavours to improve social equality, human dignity and civil liberties in India - as well as to improve peacebuilding in the Kashmir region, the Kashmir conflict between Pakistan and India being scary and heart-breaking in equal measure.
