Deep in the forest, a tigress mourns the loss of her cubs that have been killed by hunters and begins a destructive rampage throughout the countryside, but the prophetess Lao Lao tells the king that this damaging behavior will cease only when he sends his very young son, Wen, all alone into the very same forest where the tigress lives.
